We are so excited to announce the brand new Community Clinic at Triangle Acupuncture!
Our Chapel Hill office will offer Community Clinic hours on Fridays from 1-4pm starting September 15.
What is Community Acupuncture?
Community style acupuncture is practiced in an upscale, relaxed group setting, with multiple patients receiving treatment at the same time. The treatments are primarily on the front of the body, and mainly on distal points (legs, arms, hands, feet, ears, etc). This is the way acupuncture is traditionally done in Asia. Community clinics run on a sliding scale in order to make them more affordable so patients can get treatment more frequently, and more people can access acupuncture care in our community.
What conditions are appropriate for Community Acupuncture?
Many conditions can be treated in a community style setting, especially patients with:
- Pregnancy concerns such as morning sickness and acute pain
- Chemo and radiation treatment-related symptoms such as fatigue, nausea, low immune function
- Anxiety & Depression
How much does it cost? Do I need to make an appointment?
Our Community Clinic treatments are offered on a walk-in, first come first serve basis. Treatments last about 45 minutes, and are on a $35-45 sliding scale in our Chapel Hill clinic only. You do not need a referral or health insurance to attend the Community Clinic, just come on in!
