Julie Hutsell, LAc
Julie Hutsell is an acupuncturist licensed in North Carolina and California, and a nationally board-certified Oriental Medicine practitioner. She has a Bachelor of Art from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California.
Julie specializes in the treatment of infertility, fertility enhancement, early pregnancy, and menstrual disorders. She had a practice in San Francisco for two years before moving to Chapel Hill to join Triangle Acupuncture Clinic. In San Francisco, she treated women with various fertility and menstrual problems. In addition, while in San Francisco, Julie worked with a leading infertility acupuncturist, Dr. Lifang Liang. There she treated many women experiencing fertility difficulties who were using Assisted Reproductive Technologies such as IVF and IUI treatments as well as women who were trying to conceive naturally. She also worked with many women in their first trimester of pregnancy.
Julie first experienced the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine when she developed Repetitive Strain Injury in her arms from computer use. She had tried physical therapy, chiropractic care, biofeedback, and occupational therapy. While all of these modalities offered some relief, it was not until she started acupuncture treatments that she began to notice profound changes. Eventually she decided to pursue the study of Chinese Medicine so that she could offer people the same benefits that she had experienced. Always having had an interest in women's health, she chose to specialize in the treatment of infertility.
Julie has a gentle touch and creates a safe, nurturing, and relaxing atmosphere for her patients. She is committed to educating and caring for her patients, by partnering with them to cultivate greater health and well-being.
