Low-Cost, Sliding Scale, Community Acupuncture at TAC
If you are interested in receiving acupuncture but have been avoiding it because of the cost, you might consider coming to our Community Acupuncture Clinic. Community Acupuncture provides an opportunity for people to receive acupuncture treatments in a group setting at a discounted rate . Patients sit in chairs, fully clothed, and receive acupuncture in their ears and extremities, in the company of other people. By doing acupuncture in a group setting, the treatments are less expensive, thus enabling more people to experience acupuncture more often. This type of treatment is extremely relaxing and the energy of collective healing is can be very powerful. Here are the details:
- Every Wednesday between 3 and 6 pm at Triangle Acupuncture Clinic in Chapel Hill, beginning March 24th. (Last appointment is at 5:15).
- Treatments are offered on a sliding scale basis, costing between $25 and $45, based on how much the patient feels he/she can pay. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
- Chair massage will also be available at a rate of $20 for 20 minutes.
- Conditions best treated in a community acupuncture setting are: stress, anxiety, smoking cessation and cravings, insomnia and pain.
- Appointments can be scheduled in advance; walk-ins are welcome. Treatments typically last anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes.
