March Product of the Month

?What’s a cruciferous vegetable? To name a few, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, and kale are cruciferous vegetables. These types of vegetables contain a phytonutrient called di-indolylmethane (DIM), which has unique hormonal benefits and supports the activity of enzymes that improve estrogen metabolism.

?Since DIM stimulates more efficient estrogen metabolism, this in turn can help balance other hormones including progesterone and testosterone. DIM can be used for women’s health issues such as irregular menstrual cycle, painful periods, and menopausal symptoms. It can also be useful for men with low libido or low testosterone levels.

?Eating cruciferous vegetables is great, but you’d have to eat 2-3 pounds of broccoli to be the equivalent of taking a concentrated supplement. DIM Plus by Nature’s Way is a well-formulated product containing the beneficial phytonutrients from the cruciferous vegetables that can help promote optimal hormone balance. Talk to your practitioner to see if DIM Plus is right for you.
