November Product of the Month
By Tory Wegner, LAc
The holidays are approaching and thoughts turn to all the delicious food that will be enjoyed. Of course it’s quite common to overindulge in the rich yummy foods and this can lead to all sorts of digestive complaints. One such pattern in Chinese Medicine is called “food stagnation.”
This is pretty self-explanatory, if you over-eat or consume rich, greasy foods, and maybe throw in some alcohol, it’s very likely you’ll have the symptoms of food stagnation. Which include epigastric or abdominal bloating, cramps, belching, hiccups, maybe even nausea or some diarrhea. The thought of eating even one more bite makes you feel sick, a classic sign of food stagnation and probably sounds pretty familiar, especially after thanksgiving dinner!
One herbal product that treats food stagnation is called kang ning wan (curing pill). You can take it before and after eating a big meal and it quickly helps the body deal with food stagnation and reduces the uncomfortable symptoms. It’s a great product that works really well and is good to have on hand at the holidays when the temptation of all the food is too great to pass up!
During November Kang Ning Wan is 10% off!
