Monkey
Chinese: Shen
1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016
The Monkey in the Chinese zodiac certainly lives up to its name. Clever, imaginative and mischievous, Monkeys are always the entertainers, and make witty companions. The Monkey is naturally curious and has a tendency to get bored easily and become restless if a steady stream of adventures is unavailable.
Having a sense of eternal youth and being very high-spirited and multifaceted, the slower paced Rabbit year may prove to be a tranquil, albeit a little frustrating, year for Monkeys, but with their ingenuity and resourcefulness, Monkeys will always find a way to entertain themselves and especially others. The Rabbit year offers excellent business opportunities for the Monkey whose natural alertness and spirit of enterprise are perfect traits for reaping the benefits. This year also affords socially active Monkeys many possibilities to entertain with their wit and sparkle. Creatively, the Rabbit year brings about much inspiration as well. This is an auspicious year for Monkeys all around, enabling them to positively move forward leaving any disappointments and regrets behind.
Rooster
Chinese: You
1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017
Roosters are individuals of appearances, reality and emotion. Lively (even feisty!), finely dressed and with an outgoing manner, Roosters are the strutting peacock of the zodiac! Roosters also possess an efficient and methodical soul, making them perfectly adapted to practical projects and enthusiasm for details others may overlook. Confident and assertive, Roosters prefer to give orders rather than take them, but their industrious nature makes them no stranger to rolling up their sleeves and getting things done. Loving to socialize, Roosters are at their best in a crowd.
The year of the Rabbit is an opposition year for spunky Roosters, but one that has the ability to teach them a lot about themselves. This could prove to be a year of delayed gratification for the Rooster, but their resilient nature makes them happily willing to work hard today while looking ahead to tomorrow's rewards. However, tireless Roosters must also remember to take time out from the grindstone and enjoy themselves a little in the leisurely Rabbit year. Health-wise, it’s important to cultivate happiness and open-mindedness this year, and not to overwork themselves. Peaceful negotiation is the key this year and strong-minded Roosters must take care to maintain a sense of tact in relationships as they tend to have no hesitation in speaking their minds which can sometimes bring unwanted trouble. The metal Rabbit means a financial 'windfall' year and money may come to Roosters from many unexpected places, making finances thrive. Calmness and planning ahead is the mantra for Roosters this year.
Dog
Chinese: Xu
1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018
Champions of the little guy, Dogs are fiercely loyal and love to stand up for those who are disadvantaged, having a deep sense of justice and duty. Along with their humble and humanitarian nature, this makes Dogs perfectly suited for public service. Dogs are the watchful worriers of the Chinese zodiac, which if unbalanced can lead to anxiety. Protective and devoted, sometimes with an intense ferocity, Dogs make the best friends and the worst enemies. Generosity and perseverance is the cornerstone of the Dog’s personality, and their earnestness, sincerity and faithfulness make them highly valued by others as dear friends.
The Rabbit year provides a sage, quiet place for the worrisome Dog to lay their head and be off duty for a while, giving them ample time to meditate, read and take in inventory of what’s important. The Dog and the Rabbit are ‘soul mate’ signs, and one of the luckiest combinations of signs in the zodiac. Dogs can expect a year of wonderful relationships—and this can have far-reaching positive effects in every aspect of the Dog’s life—in social, romantic and career realms. This should be a smooth flowing year for dogs to rest and enjoy those around them!
Pig
Chinese: Hai
1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019
Considerate, long-suffering, supremely honest, and unpretentious, Pigs make cheerful friends and sincere partners. Very trusting, Pigs can run the risk of being betrayed because of their faith in other people, but are eventually rewarded due to their sincerity and pure heart. Companionship, love and emotional security are essential, and Pigs relate well with easy-going people who favor talking things out instead of heated debates. Motivated by their conscience, pigs are strong-willed yet gentle individuals.
Peaceful Pigs will enjoy the harmonious rhythm of the Rabbit year, which is a much more favorable, easy going year for them, compared to the previous roller coaster Tiger year. Pigs can expect a peaceful, nurturing year at home and in their social circles, which in turn fosters potential for good health. Pigs are nothing if not determined and do well in their careers--and the Metal Rabbit year is a good year to move forward even more at work, with their hard work paying off.
