Allyson Schurtz, LAc

Allyson (she/her) is Nationally Board-Certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She graduated from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, TX in 2018.

She specializes in Women's Health and provides evidence-based care to treat common reproductive and gynecological issues such as painful and irregular menstruation, endometriosis, PCOS, sexual dysfunction & trauma, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, & hormonal imbalances.

Allyson has found her life's work in Chinese Medicine and she views it as an integral addition to our modern healthcare system. Her background in integrative healthcare settings provides an important framework for her approach to patient care.

She believes that true healing is a process of returning to our most authentic, vibrant selves and requires a mutli-disciplinary approach that is trauma-informed, somatic and individualized. She sees physical symptoms as merely one piece of a large, complex puzzle and is passionate about acknowledging the spiritual, emotional, & energetic aspects of the body as well. Thus, her goal is to take the time to understand each patient’s unique concerns, life circumstances, and history to offer the most comprehensive care possible.

In addition to her acupuncture license, she has spent time in immersive study of traditional medicine and herbalism in the Amazon of Peru and Ecuador as well as in India. These experiences coupled with her clinical education provide her with a unique and multi-faceted approach to health and well-being.
